Musings from the cave

It’s been a long while since I dropped by the blog to post something. But it’s been a busy time, especially with the festive season, New Year, and then I was right back in the swing of things writing all the words.

I’ve finished up the Sins of Seven Series, and it was a bittersweet goodbye to that world, but I’m excited for what’s to come. Last year, I had an idea to have a series loosely based on the Knights of the Round Table. I figured it’s not been done in the way I had in mind, and with that I went to 12 authors who I have brought along the ride with me.

Each story is unique in it’s own right, and I’m so excited to be working with such amazing women. Their hard work and integrity has been a godsend on such an intricate series idea. I can’t wait for everyone to meet the Cavalieri Della Morte!

In other news, I’m excited to have had my agent secure audio rights for the first three books of the Sins of Seven Series which are currently going through the production phase. I’m so excited to hear what Nate, Eli, and Carrick sound like on audio. I will also most probably be blushing listening to the audiobooks.

Early this year, I received an invite to write for the amazing online platform Radish. At the moment, I have three books on there, and will soon be announcing an exclusive series which will be on their website/app for an unlimited time. It’s different, it’s steamy, and it’s emotional. The characters really are taking me on a hell of a rollercoaster!

In release news, there are so many amazing projects I’m working on this year, a few group projects which are exciting, and my own solo projects that I’m excited to announce. SOON! 😉

But, before all the good things, there are also bad things that have gotten me down. Things I’ve witnessed which I can’t believe is happening in a community that talks about love and support.

The past few months I’ve attempted to stay off social media, mainly because there are so many words to write, I’ve been in the cave, but what saddens me is each time I log into Facebook, I see more drama in the book community. Over the past almost four years I’ve been publishing, it’s been one hell of a rollercoaster, but it seems as if there’s just more anger within the community which makes me sad. We’re all here to enjoy the words, to share our love of the characters, and to support each other. I don’t for the life of me understand how grown women, and men, can act like we’re all back in high school. It’s as if we’re all once again being pushed into our separate corners.

We need to grow up, we need to ACTUALLY support each other, and we need to stop spreading anger and hate.

Apologies for the rant, but it needed to be said. Now, onto the words, onto the fun, the laughs, and the love that I know we’re all capable of!
